Back at “The Wild Coyote,” the tall Brunette emerges from the Ladies’ Restroom and heads towards the bar area. As she does, she walks by Julian yet again, who is now standing by the decorative water fountain outside of the bathroom.
She smiles at him and proceeds to the bar area.
At the bar, on her approach, the Bartender walks up to her.
“What can I get you?” The Bartender asks.
“The best top self-tequila you have.” The Brunette replies with a smile.
“You got it.” The Bartender says as he puts a shot glass in front of her and turns to retrieve a bottle from the shelf.
He fills the glass, and she quickly downs the shot.
“Wow.” The Bartender says with a laugh.
The Brunette puts her right index finger up as she lets the burning sensation simmer in her throat.
The Bartender fills up the glass again, and the Brunette nods.
She sits down at the bar and looks into her clutch purse.
“Got my rent paid.” She says with a smile on her face.
Julian walks into the bar and motions for the Bartender to come over.
“Can I buy you a drink?” Julian asks the Brunette who is still staring into her clutch purse.
“No thanks.” The Brunette says before glancing up to realize that it is the same Gentleman she had seen twice before earlier tonight.
When she looks at Julian, she changes her posture.
“You know what.” The Brunette grabs the shot of tequila off the bar and downs it before placing the empty glass on the bar. “Why not.” She says to Julian with a slight smile from the sting of the second shot.
Julian points to her empty shot glass and addresses the Bartender, “Can you get her another of whatever she was having.”
The Bartender nods and retrieves the bottle to refill it.
“My name is Lisa by the way.” The Brunette says as she extends her hand to shake his.
“Julian,” Julian says as he returns her offer with a firm, but gentle grip.
“It’s nice to meet you, Julian,” Lisa says with a smile.
The Bartender finishes pouring her drink and replaces the bottle in its place.
“I’ll be right back.” The Bartender says as he notices two new patrons sitting at the far end of the bar.
Julian turns to Lisa now that they have a little privacy.
“I wanted to tell you that I saw you-” Julian begins, but is cut off by Lisa.
“-from across the bar? Yes. I have heard that cliché many, many times. I thought you would be smoother than that.” Lisa says as she swirls the shot of tequila in the glass in front of him.
“No. Actually, I was going to say that I saw you from across the casino, as you lifted those chips from that poor, old Gentleman.” Julian says with a smile. “You left him alone and probably with a hard-on.”
“He wasn’t my type. Besides, my attention comes with a price.” She says grinning.
She looks him up and down and then takes the shot that he ordered for her.
“And while you might be my type. Your clothes tell me that you can’t afford me.” She says as she reaches into her clutch purse to pull out a $50 chip and places it on the bar.
“Excuse me,” Julian replies to her in a slight state of disbelief.
“No. Excuse me. Have a good night though.” Lisa leans in and kisses him on the cheek before exiting.
Julian turns to watch Lisa walk out of the bar.
The Bartender returns.
“Can I get you anything?” The Bartender asks Julian.
Julian turns back to the bar and shakes his head “no.”
“I can’t drink. I’m on the clock right now.” Julian replies.
“Oh! I heard you mention to her your name was Julian?” The Bartender asks.
“You are the new guy right? From Vegas?” The Bartender asks.
“That’s me,” Julian replies.
“Welcome to the ‘Coyote’ man. I’m Ashton. If you need anything, let me know. It’s always good having real professionals out here.” The Bartender finishes before extending his hand to him.
Julian returns his handshake.
“If you ever see her come in here again, Give me a call.” Julian says before exiting the bar.
